Arragouset is from the European Folklore Beastiary for Chivalry and Sorcery Role Playing Game by Steve Turner.

These aquatic faeries live in the English Channel, making their homes in caves and hollows below the waterline. The best know colony is on the west coast of
the island of Guernsey. They stand about twothirds the height of a human, and have fishlike heads and greyish, scaly skin. Their weapons are studded with sharp shells, and their armour is also studded with shells.

The Arragousets of Guernsey once invaded the land when their demand for human wives was refused. They slaughtered all the men and settled on the land, marrying the women and winning them over with their hard work and caring nature. Then they disappeared for reasons that remain unknown, perhaps returning to the sea. Some families on the island are still said to be descended from them, being small of stature and naturally gifted sailors. Their Arragouset relatives often return in secret to help them with
fishing and other tasks, or to avenge wrongs committed against them.

Arragousets are fierce in battle but can be charming when they choose to be. They are fully amphibious, able to live and move on land and underwater without penalty. They know every inch of the coast and the sea bed in their home area, and collect valuables and other useful items from shipwrecks, either to use or to decorate the caves where they make their homes. They have all the characteristics and weaknesses common to faeries, but are not know to have any spellcasting ability.
